![]() But I doubt Disney would go for it, alas.ĥ. That would certainly go a long way toward at least making The Phantom Menace a better movie. One minor but appealing change would be for Jar Jar Binks to be edited out of the iTunes versions completely. Those three films – The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith – simply are what they are and there’s not much that can be done to fix them. Frankly, they still stink and there’s not really much that Disney can do about it. One of the other problems with the iTunes versions of the Star Wars movies lies with the prequels themselves. My guess is that Disney would sell far more if they’d done that then they will with the lame extras that are currently included. ![]() Imagine how excited people would be if they were able to see the films the way they were originally made, without George Lucas’ annoying changes, and at no extra cost. The single best “extra” that Disney could have included with each film is the original version of the movie. ![]() Or you can listen to writers and Star Wars historians talk about the “Star Wars that never was” if you buy Revenge of the Sith.īut none of that stuff is enough to get me to buy the films. You can, for example, listen to interviews with some of the movie’s stars in The Empire Strikes Back. While it doesn't make complete sense why Anakin just finds out about the pregnancy at the start of Revenge of the Sit h, there's little doubt that she is several months into carrying the twins. It appears that the reason Padmé doesn't look as pregnant as she actually is in the movie is the result of her clothes, which manage to conceal her pregnant belly. Each of the films comes with some iTunes Extras, and that’s fine as far as it goes. ![]() Season 7 of the animated show made it clear that Padmé is pregnant and her appearance shows as much. The next two episodes happen during Day 3, as Mace Windu's line about a plot to destroy the Jedi is included and Ahsoka has to face Order 66.Īs for the question of Padmé's pregnancy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars can once again be used to disprove the belief that Revenge of the Sith takes place over several months. The Seige of Mandalore four-part arc that wrapped up the show fits with this span of time. Anakin and Obi-Wan leave to save Palpatine at the start, with the Seige of Mandalore beginning on Day 2 of Revenge of the Sith. This timeline of events is further supported by Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7. ![]()
